Platform Updates
Firm names and specialized terms weren’t always coming through correctly in the “Listen to this post” audio player. Sites can now set custom phonetic spellings per term, so LXB Voice reads them the way they’re actually meant to sound.
Posts with multiple authors used to be sent to the Library twice to correctly capture co-authors, adding extra time to every publish. That workaround is no longer needed — co-authored posts now publish in a single pass, with no change to how authors display.
Multi-blog subscribe forms could pull in mismatched Mailchimp merge tag fields across blogs, causing subscribe errors on some multi-blog setups. Merge tags are now handled consistently across every blog in the group.
It’s now much easier to control and monitor the send status of your post’s email notification, right from the sidebar of the post editor!
Upgraded the voices used in our LXB Voice text-to-speech plugin to utilize Amazon Polly’s Neural voices, which provide a much more natural sounding speech.
